It’s early in Coachella’s final day when Brazilian outfit CSS walk over to the press tent, several minutes late and a tad dazed under the sun, on what is turning out to be the hottest of the three days.
While backstage at the 2011 Coachella Music and Arts Festival, Under the Radar writer Michele Yamamoto conducted video interviews with some of the fest’s most noteworthy bands including Brazilian rockers, CSS.
Yes, again with the delayed recap. Sunday. The third and final day. It’s always bittersweet. Several shades darker, several pounds lighter, and still woozy from day two, I always seem to feel a second wind coming on in that final day. At one point, I found myself walking by an art installation on my way across the field and thinking, “I’ll have to check that out tomorrow,” before the realization set in. But I digress.
Day three of Coachella 2011 was already the weakest day in terms of the lineup, so this year’s festival ended with more of a whimper. There were highlights, including some ’80s New Wave legends, and some dancing Danes. And then there was Kanye West.
